Bread Pudding

Bread pudding is a traditional dessert that has accompanied many families in Latin America, especially in Argentina and Venezuela. Originally, it was a way to use up stale bread to avoid waste, transforming it into a delicious snack.

Ingredients:

  • 6 slices of bread (preferably from the day before)
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cup of raisins (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

Preparation:

  • Soak the bread in the milk for a few minutes, until it softens.
  • Beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla essence.
  • Add the soaked bread and mix well.

  • Incorporate the raisins and cinnamon.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased baking pan and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes or until golden and firm to the touch. Serve warm or cold
