Catalinas are traditional cookies from Venezuela, and their name has endured through time. They are ideal for accompanying a cup of coffee and are an essential part of Venezuelan cuisine.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of wheat flour
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.
- Add the egg and melted butter, and knead until you get a smooth dough.
- Form small balls and place them on a baking tray.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden. Enjoy with a good cup of coffee.
