World Recipe: Cherry Clafoutis

Ingredients:

For the clafoutis:

  • Butter for greasing
  • 400 ml milk
  • 130 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 90 g flour
  •  200 g cherries or sweet cherries, halved and pitted

 

For serving:

  • Powdered sugar

 

Instructions:

  • Grease a 28-30 cm diameter baking dish with butter.
  • Blend all the clafoutis ingredients, except for the cherries, in a blender until smooth.

Pour the mixture into the greased dish.

  • Arrange the halved cherries evenly on top of the clafoutis mixture.
  • Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes, or until the clafoutis is lightly golden.

  • Allow it to cool completely and serve at room temperature dusted with powdered sugar.
