How to Use Dry Shampoo if You Have Dry Hair

Dry shampoo has become a lifesaver for many people on busy days or between washes. But is it really for everyone? Essentially, this product is just powder with fragrance, a formula made of talc or starch that absorbs scalp oil and leaves hair looking cleaner. However, if you have dry hair, it’s best to use it occasionally or in emergencies, as frequent use can further dry out the hair shaft.

Using it correctly is key to getting good results:

Shake the bottle well.

Spray directly onto the roots from about 20 centimeters (8 inches) away.

Wait a few seconds for the product to work.

Massage the scalp to distribute it evenly.

Brush to remove excess and avoid white residue.

Extra tip: apply it at night, let it work while you sleep, and wake up with hair that feels fresher, looser, and with more volume. Just remember, dry shampoo does not replace a real wash: your scalp needs to breathe and stay clean to maintain its natural balance.
