20 Abr Learn to Use the Right Brushes and Improve Your Makeup
Even if you have good products, using the wrong brushes can affect your final result. With foundation and setting powder, there is usually less confusion because the tools are easier to identify. The challenge comes when working on more detailed areas like contour, blush, highlighter or eyeshadow.

The key is understanding the difference between brushes for powder products and those for cream products.

Powder brushes have long, flexible, loose and fluffy bristles. They are designed to blend and create a soft, lightweight finish. If you use them with cream products, they will absorb part of the formula, and the application may look uneven or patchy.

On the other hand, cream brushes have shorter, firmer and denser bristles. They are more compact and allow you to apply the product with tapping motions, giving you better precision and smoother blending into the skin without wasting product inside the brush.

There are medium-density brushes that can work for both textures, but ideally you should use separate tools or clean them before switching products. Cream formulas leave oily residue that can affect the finish of your next step.
