Strengthen Your Core with These Yoga Exercises

Strengthen Your Core with These Yoga Exercises

If you want to work your core in a mindful and body-friendly way, yoga is an excellent option. The key is to progress gradually: start with gentle variations and increase the intensity as you feel more comfortable. Avoid forcing or over-tensing unnecessary muscles. Listening to your body and allowing yourself to rest is essential to build strength without injury.

  • Lie on your back, rest your forearms on the floor and keep the soles of your feet grounded. Lift one leg and take a deep breath, holding the position for a few seconds. Lower it and repeat with the other leg.
  • Sit up, bring the soles of your feet together and pass your arms underneath your knees. Hold your feet with your hands and lean forward, letting your head drop to relax your abdomen and back.
  • Repeat the first exercise, but this time lift both legs at the same time, engaging your core with control.

  • Sit with your back slightly leaned backward and lift your feet off the floor. Hold the back of your knees to balance, bring your legs to a 90-degree angle and, if you can, extend your arms forward.
  • Alternate each posture with exercise two to rest. Finally, repeat the seated position by extending one leg and holding your toes; then try it with both legs.

With consistency, you’ll notice a stronger and more stable core.
