Ingredients

  • 1 can Nestlé sweetened condensed milk
  • 360 grams liquid milk
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 ½ cups shredded dried coconut

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F) and line a rectangular baking dish with buttered parchment paper (you can also use wax paper lightly greased).
  • In a saucepan, pour the condensed milk, liquid milk, and cinnamon stick. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent sticking or burning.
  • Remove the cinnamon stick and add the shredded coconut. Mix well and cook for 5 more minutes over low heat until the mixture thickens slightly.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and bake for 30 minutes or until the surface turns golden brown.

Remove from the oven, let cool until slightly firm, carefully unmold, and cut into small squares.
