Combining simple ingredients, this sandwich delivers a practical and flavorful meal that’s perfect for a quick lunch, a light dinner, or those moments when you want something delicious without spending too much time in the kitchen. The combination of tuna, melted cheese, and toasted bread makes it an irresistible option for any occasion.

Ingredients:

4 slices of sandwich bread

4 slices of cheddar cheese

90 g (3 oz) tuna

40 g red onion

30 g pickles

1 tablespoon mayonnaise

½ teaspoon mustard

1 small knob of butter, for spreading on the bread

Instructions:

Finely chop the red onion and pickles so they blend well into the filling.

Place the flaked tuna in a bowl. Add the onion, pickles, mayonnaise, and mustard. Mix well until the filling is smooth and creamy.

Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread.

Heat a skillet over low heat and place two slices of bread in the pan, buttered side down. Top each slice with one piece of cheddar cheese, a portion of the tuna mixture, and another slice of cheddar cheese.

Cover with the remaining slices of bread, keeping the buttered side facing up.

Cook for a few minutes until the bread is golden brown and crispy. Carefully flip the sandwiches to toast the other side.

Continue cooking until the cheese is completely melted and the exterior is beautifully golden and crisp.

Remove from the heat, cut in half, and serve immediately.
