Kale Fritters

Kale Fritters

If you want to switch things up a little and prepare something different, these kale fritters are a tasty, simple option that’s perfect for putting a meal together in no time. They’re golden and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with the sweet touch of caramelized onions. Absolutely delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g caramelized onions
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Grated cheese, to taste
  • All-purpose flour, as needed
  • 1 bunch of kale
  • Oil for frying

Preparation

  • Place the eggs in a bowl and whisk until well combined.
  • Add the caramelized onions, Dijon mustard, and grated cheese. Mix everything together, then gradually add the flour until you get a firm batter that is still easy to handle.
  • Wash the kale thoroughly, remove the tougher parts of the stems, and chop the leaves into small pieces. Add them to the mixture and stir until evenly distributed.
  • Heat enough oil in a frying pan. Using a spoon, scoop out portions of the mixture and carefully place them into the hot oil, shaping them into fritters.
  • Fry until golden brown on one side, then flip them so they cook evenly on both sides.
  • Once they’re ready, remove them from the oil and place them on paper towels to absorb any excess oil.

Serve the fritters immediately while they’re nice and hot. You can pair them with a fresh dipping sauce or simply enjoy them on their own. And that’s it—time to dig in!
